EVERYBODY LOVES THIS DAY!

Visit to PPKCTM and RKK

Tori Education organized a visit to Pusat Penjagaan Kanak Kanak Cacat Taman Megah and Rumah Keluarga Kami during this school holiday in the hope that the kids could realize the not all children are as privileged and live a normal life.

Pusat Penjagaan Kanak Kanak Cacat Taman Megah(PPKCTM) runs a home for the disabled and the underprivileged. They are rendering services to children who are of down syndrome, autistic cerebral palsy, slow learner, hyper active (A.D.H.D.), physically handicapped, intellectually disabled, dwarfism syndrome, apeth syndrome, deaf & mute, global development delay and under privileged, as their ages range from 3 months to 51 years old.

On the second day, we visited Rumah Keluarga Kami,an orphanage located at Taman Bukit Kajang.Rumah Keluarga Kami (RKK) was established on 1^st June 1990 and is a residential home for underprivileged, abused and abandoned children. A project by the society of St Vincent de Paul, Conference of the Holy Family, Kajang, the need of such a home was mooted from the growing need to provide underprivileged children with the essential needs like foods, shelter, education, and, most of all, love.

亲爱的家人，你们都感受到了吗？

尊重生命-到处乱跑的小蚂蚁

小蚂蚁不小心爬到我们身上的时候，它们其实比人们更害怕，因为对他们来说，我们是个超级大巨人，轻轻一挥就会让把它们压扁了！

我们用了一些蜜糖诱使小蚂蚁到来，再用纸张让小蚂蚁爬上孩子的手掌心。孩子们开始时不习惯让蚂蚁在手上爬动，感觉痒痒的，害怕蚂蚁会咬他们。不一会儿，孩子们也习惯小蚂蚁的爬动，还把小蚂蚁当成自己的宝贝孩子似的，用心地叮咛它们别乱走哦！

亲爱的小朋友，小蚂蚁整天爬呀爬，是为了要找食物吃，它想要把食物带回家分给它的家人，也想多找一些食物度过寒冷的冬天。如果你不希望它乱跑，你可以轻轻的、用心的告诉它：“小蚂蚁，我怕不小心会压到你，请赶快爬到别的地方吧！ ”

经过这天的观察与接触，孩子们更进一步认识小蚂蚁了,也学习到如何尊重其他生命，即使是那么小的蚂蚁，也是值得我们尊重的！小蚂蚁还真是太可爱了！

我的小扑满 My Piggy Bank

正确的理财观，就是等于给了孩子一张无限额度的提款卡。

“给孩子鱼吃，不如给他钓竿”，如何在孩子童年时养成正确终生受用的理财观呢？

为了培养孩子们的‘开源节流’好习惯，让他们把零用钱登记在账簿内，再把钱存入扑满。零用钱账本除了让孩子有练习计算的功用，并开始训练‘如何记账？’‘支出和收入和现在学的数学有关系吗？’‘什么是结余？这些都是活生生的数学课！

淘乐儿童学社设了一个小角落，让孩子们存放自己的扑满。除此之外，孩子们各写下三个愿望，以便利用自己所存的钱来实现。有的想买礼物送给家人、朋友和自己；有的想捐给孤儿院；有的想请爸妈吃晚餐。用自己存的钱来实现愿望，感觉一定非常不同！

Volunteering @ Purelife Organic Kajang (Part 1 & 2)

In order to raise fund for the upcoming visit to an orphanage, Torians of Standard 1 to Standard 3 volunteered at the Purelife Organic restaurant last Sunday. The kids helped out in the kitchen, the restaurant, the shop and carried out outdoor cleaning! Li Teng, a pupil of Standard 2, was responsible in tightening all the bolts on the wooden chairs. Kenji (Li Teng's brother) was a great helper at the kitchen, yet he got freaked out when he saw a snail in the vegetables! HAHAHA! Both Hong Yan and Zi Yang of Standard 3 helped weed in front of Purelife. After finishing their respective jobs, they all worked together to fold the newspapers into 100 pieces of paper bags!

Good job kids, for your kind effort in raising fund for the orphans!

Special thanks to Purelife Organic for donating to the orphanage and providing the kids with a place to volunteer and learn!
